Sr. Systems Engineer

Experience Required:

Requires 3 to 5 years experience

Responsibilities:

Managed Services group is responsible for managing all components of Razorsight’s Enterprise application setup:

  • Web application Environment setup.
  • Manage UNIX based servers.
  • Manage web application servers.
  • Manage Monitoring tools and Respond to alerts.
  • Application setup and upgrade.
  • Trouble shooting application errors.

Job Requirements:

  • Deployment and Support of Java based technologies/software (JMS)
  • Deployment and Support of Web based applications using Tomcat and Apache.
  • Experience in working on Unix/Linux servers.
  • Experience in measuring performance and capacity requirement methods
  • Understanding Database technology: Oracle, SQL queries.
  • Experience in Debugging application and environment issues by reviewing server and applications logs.
  • Strong knowledge in Tomcat/Apache and Unix/Linux is a must.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodology with focus on Testing and Production Implementation.
  • Previous work as a Production Support Engineer a plus.
  • Ability to grasp, understand, analyze and identify critical problems that may result in an outage
  • Previous experience with Ticketing Systems is required.
  • Understanding of Service Support, Service Delivery and Change Management.
  • Basic Network and Java application troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment is required.

Technical Analyst

Experience Required:

Responsibilities:

Customer Service is the customer gateway into Razorsight for the following:

  • Central communication point for all products and services

  • Release content & scheduling
  • Internal and external project support

High level Description:

  • Logging, tracking, and reporting open tickets and manage through to resolution
  • rovide weekly customer status reports and conference calls
  • Provide review of Release Notes and validate Release Schedule with customers
  • Representative for customers into Product Management and Account Management for application enhancements and customizations.
  • Customer Service will manage customer issues across Razorsight support teams.

Key Roles:

  • Primary Contact for Customer to report all issues, requests and enhancements
  • Technical Support Analyst will review all tickets assigned to them as Support Owner from Data Entry
  • Technical and Analytical troubleshooting of issues reported to facilitate Customer and Internal Development teams
  • Liaison to Development, SaaS Operations and Customer Support Management for customer issues, request and enhancements
  • Trending of Issues to make product recommendations to Development, document recommendations and ensure they are being tracked
  • If a long term solution or more development needed for root cause, create root cause ticket and assign to appropriate team for resolution
  • Support & Track issues being resolved by other teams and make sure root cause is identified and provided appropriately to the customer.
  • Participate in testing of major releases prior to deployment

Education/Qualification:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical/Customer Support Specialist at a On-Demand software solutions company
  • Bachelors degree in Science

  • Exposure to J2EE
  • Expertise in using SQL (Oracle 10g)

Configuration Manager

Experience Required:

Requires 4 to 6 years experience

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Management of entire Razorsight Product lines worldwide.
  • Document Control.
  • Should be able to coordinate changes with development, implementation and Production team and technical support to ensure a complete understanding of any change in the system.
  • Plan builds along with development team and handle release management across multiple products and platforms.
  • Manage CM databases; VSS and Perforce.
  • Reviewing existing CM processes and assisting in development, planning and implementation of CM process changes
  • Ensuring the integrity of all software, document and hardware baselines are maintained and that the appropriate distribution mechanisms are in place for release of baselines.
  • Ensure software quality and stability by developing and maintaining configuration management standards that ensure careful, reliable, measurable and repeatable automated software build processes across all environments.
  • Coordinate, administer and schedule the code migration process, including source repositories as well as physical integrated builds, validating that checkout and signoff procedures are documented and that all standards have been followed.
  • Identify and develop policies, patterns, procedures and automated tools for branching, labeling, merging, check-in / check-out, software builds, etc to suit the needs of the business and the software development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain scripts used to facilitate the build, configuration, and reporting processes.
  • Generate technical release notes to accompany each release and create deployment packages to be handed off to the release team.
  • Troubleshoot build and release problems and implement solutions.
  • Work closely with the technology group, project teams and Operations to anticipate, document, and fulfill environmental needs for successful builds, and address environmental issues as they arise.
  • Provide appropriate metrics and status to management including reports on the configuration status of development, test and production environments
